OMFG. This video is brilliant!
It starts out as any caramelldansen video but this is the Ginpachi Sensei version (Gintama).....
BUT. Half way through it switches. It's the Gintama parody of the 1st Saiyuki opening theme song sequence~! Like EXACTLY the Saiyuki sequence. But Gintama characters. I laughed SO hard. XD XD XD

Edit: I can't get over how WELL MADE the Gintama parody of the Saiyuki op is. I mean they got EVERYTHING. The scene in Saiyuki with the guys sitting and having lunch? Same thing in the Gintama one. In the Saiyuki vid where you have Jeep on Hakkai's shoulder, in the Gintama one you have Sadaharu chomping on Gintoki's head. In Saiyuki when you have Jeep breathing fire, In Gintama it's Sadaharu barking.. and the SAME background!!!. Plus then you have Sanzo's cut back against the chainlink fence in the Saiyuki op, in the Gintama parody it's Takasugi's cut back against the chainlink fence. Like holy crap, this is AWESOME. XD XD XD (and the gun in the Saiyuki op is replaced by a sword in the Gintama parody, HAHAHAHA!!!!!)

My sister has a stop-over at Narita airport while traveling.
She wrote an email to me:

I burst out laughing. XD XD XD No I certainly didn't ask her for anything, I guess she spontaneously decided to buy it when she saw it.

Oblivion Dust - 7 songs, Uverworld - 1 song, Buck-Tick - 1 song, Breathe - 1 song (ha! see, not all jpop/jrock), Tourbillion - 3 songs, L'arc en ciel - 5 songs, Asian kung Fu Generation - 2 songs, Gackt - 1 song, abingdon boys' school - 1 song, OLIVIA - 2 songs, Rie fu - 1 song, Mika Nakashima - 1 song, Pay Money to My Pain - 1 song, Bana - 1 song, and finally 2 songs are covers, so naming the cover artist or orig is fine (High and Mighty Color, Mika Nakashima, Girugamesh, Luna Sea)
I have no idea how I got 3 Tourbillion songs out of 30 either, I don't have *that* much Tourbillion on my mp3 player. I have a TON of Fake? songs and none of them played. @_@

9:04 pm - MySpace is my bane... Pay Money to my Pain

So I've been stalking OD's Myspace page to see any news because unlike their website, they post in both Japanese and English...
And that led me to browsing other MySpace pages. Following links and stuff. First off all I found a ton of bands and music I like have pages, which was cool, but I also got to hear IV the new (reunited) X Japan song, which was very cool. A little too synthesized for me but not bad.
And I also got to listen to Sugizo's newer music (way too modern/electronic/ambient for me).
But.
But.
But.
Damnit.
I caved in and visited Pay Money to my Pain's MySpace site (I resisted for so long listening to them.... their guitarist is Pablo, suppport guitarist for Fake? and OD). And well, I REALLY, REALLY like Pay Money to my Pain (PTP), so much so that I ordered their cd right off the bat after 1 listen of their songs on MySpace. It's really damned good. Amazing, awesome music. emo/punk/screamo/rock It's so awesomely heavy but melodic plus their ballads are awesome.

Okay, I switched computers and things are mostly back to normal but I can't for the life of me figure out how to move my email over. >_< I've got all the files saved but I can't seem to get the new computer's email prog to recognize all the files. *sigh* Oh well, it's one blip, and other things went relatively smoothly.
Time to get caught up on all the anime I'd been putting off watching because I was planning on the comp switch for the past couple of weeks. =D

D'espairs Ray in Vancouver April 10

Actually they're part of this music concert/festival thingy called Taste of Chaos. It's a bunch of hard rock bands, but for some weird reason this year there will be 3 jrock bands on the tour too.. and D'espairs Ray will be one of them! AAAAHHHhhhhhh~!!!! q\^_______^/p
Vyce already said she'd come along... anyone else on my flist interested in going? haha. I'm so excited, I never thought I'd see D'espairs Ray in Vancouver of all places.
(Now if only Oblivion Dust made their way over here...I'd totally freak out.)
Oh yeah other 2 jrock bands coming:
MUCC (they're okay, I'd certainly stick around to watch them butnot one of my faves)
Underneath (never heard of them, I'll see if I can dig up any music of theirs, they look like they'd be really hard rock stuff so I'm not totally sure I'd like them since I go for more melodic rock stuff)
So anyway: flist, if you are local relative to me and are also interested in going, let me know so we can all go together!

Well considering I watched the old cartoon on TV religiously when I was a kid and had like 3 dozen Transformers toys, I guess it was kinda obvious I'd go watch the movie (with like a 10 other anime club people who all wanted to see it - kinda awesome too how it worked out, as soon as they announced the show was sold out, it turned out 2 of the people in our group got the last 2 tickets). XD
And yes, it was awesome like everyone is raving about. The plot is pretty laughable and had no sense of logic, but really, the only reason people go to watch Transformers is for 1) nostalgia and 2) to see giant mechs fight.
The best line in the movie though has got to be "Stop lubricating him!" XD XD XD

lol. Yeah, the last 2 weeks my excuse was working on cosplay... this week, no such excuse except that Ouendan 2 ate my brain. XD I'll save all of you my inevitable squealing but within 5 hours of starting the game, I'm now in the middle of the Doumeki Kai level. I am a geek and I have no life. (or well, I choose to not have a life so I can play games like Ouendan. lol.)
Oh and wtf, am I seeing things or is Ouendan 2 suspiciously slashy??? I'm talking about the last song. @_@
So far, I like the mix of songs, but I dunno, I still think the original Ouendan had a better mix of songs. It's possible I haven't warmed up to Ouendan 2 yet, or I'm just holding up the orig game to a really high standard. I am also suspecting the game developers to be L'arc fans or something. XD The orig Ouendan had Ready Steady Go as the final song, and Ouendan 2 follows EBA where the last stage is 2 songs - the 1st of the 2 songs of the last stage is Countdown by Hyde (lead singer of L'arc en ciel of course).
Ooh, and unlockable song #2 is Glamourous Sky (written by Hyde as well though orig. performed by Mika Nakashima). No, I haven't unlocked it yet but I'm marathon playing because I want to unlock it. XD

This site has GinZura, but also some amazing gen illustrations including one of Takasugi and one of Gintoki (as Shiroyasha), and there's also a war-time GinZura that is very pretty.

Hmm, some illustrations are nice, some make me go "eh?" There's a cool one of Takasugi. Mostly the topic/subject of the illustrations aren't to my taste, but the art style is quite pretty...plus there's an absolutely hysterical Space Pirate Gintoki and Captain Katsura picture. XD Oh, and Paako and Zurako also make appearances. Oh, and there's a very artsy TakaZura that is gorgeous. Oh, and dancing Jyoei. XD XD XD
